Film Night in the Park

Film Night in the Park was established in 2003 in Washington Square Park and later grew to include screenings in Dolores Park and more. Films are presented free of charge on a giant outdoor screen in beautiful park settings. Attendees are encouraged to picnic before screenings and walk, bicycle, or take public transit.

The event was produced by the San Francisco Neighborhood Theater Foundation between 2003 and 2018, with over 150,000 attendees over the years. In 2019, Film Night in the Park merged with the SF Parks Alliance’s Sundown Cinema. We look forward to resuming this summer tradition in the future.
